LGBT: Do you play any musical instrument(s), if not what would you want to learn to play?

I play sax, drums, clarinet, and I just started acoustic guitar…You can say I’m a music junkie, lol…Later on I want to learn piano.

Also, if your talent isn’t music, then what are some of your talents?

hard to play the trombone??

i have played alot of instruments and none of them have been really hard…the clarinet, all saxophones, guitar, violin, flute, xylophone and i can play lots of things on the phone…lol but for the last 2 weeks of skool we have 1 class that we go to all day that we learn something new…i got the band one and were gonna have to learn a new instrument, and my primary instrument now is the tenor sax, and were not allowed to play in the same section (woodwind, brass, percussion) and i want to play trombone…is it complicated to play/learn…answers are appreciated! 🙂

How long does it take to learn to play the flute?

I know it is easy to pick up other instruments once you already play one. I have been playing the clarinet since was in middle school. I have also played the violin, french horn, and a little piano. That said, i read music well, but am learning a whole new instrument. How long did it take you to pick up a second or third instrument and play it well?

When I say play well, I mean, enough to play a solo or confidently say that I play (not play at) the instrument.

Is it okay to learn the soprano sax with no woodwind experience?

I’m an amazing euphonium (low brass) and piano player. I have a lot of music inclination. I’ve recently been interested in buying a soprano sax to learn to play over the summer. However, everywhere i read, it says that you shouldn’t try to play a soprano sax without first either playing alto sax, or clarinet.

This probably sounds conceited, but I’m an amazing musician and I want to try something new and challenging. Is this a good idea? (I really don’t want to lean alto)

Can a Flute player learn to play Trumpet, without forgetting how to play Flute?

Ok, I didn’t know how to write this question lol. I play flute in my school band, signed up for high school band, and I play in a marching band. I am still going to be taking flute in high school and learning more. I am planning to have a career in music maybe when I am older, and I would like to play more instruments. Everyone says that if you play flute and want to take another instrument we have to take saxophone or clarinet. I heard that it is best to learn trumpet for a music career so thats what I was planning, so if I took trumpet would I forget flute or something? I would still continue learning flute, and playing in a marching band, I would just like to learn trumpet on the side.
Thanks so Much!

which is easier to learn to play Flute or Clarinet?

a few details that might help you, help me.
* i’ve played violin for several years, i’ve palyed piano for a few, and i’m currently teaching myself guitar.
* i have asthma
* i’m going to college to get a degree in music education (thats why i need to learn a wind instrument)
* i’ve palyed flute before (i got it to play- make sound- and a friend taught me Bb on flute… which i could play. basically, i picked up a flute and could instantly get it to make sound.).
so, which one would be easier for me to learn to play, considering all the above, Flute or Clarinet?

Thank you all so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
