What size or type of Piano should I learn to play on?

I want to buy a keyboard so I can learn to play piano. I’m very serious about learning and I want to make sure that I will be able to play on a real piano once I’m accomplished.

I can’t afford a lot right now. Is there anything special that I should keep in mind when shopping for keyboards? thanks!
