A bunch of you who have seen my post of my performance at Statlers Piano Lounge www.youtube.com have asked me how I figured out how to play Tim Minchin’s classic “Rock and Roll Nerd” and if I could impart my knowledge to the masses. Well, I basically just listened to the song over and over and picked out the chords, and these are what I came up with. They’re probably not perfect or exact, but you’re free to write ’em down and play with them as you wish. Have fun!

How do I learn to play piano without having to look at the piano keys?
I have been playing piano for a little over a year now, and play really well by ear, but when it comes to playing from sheet music, I can’t keep my eyes just on the music. I have to constantly look down to find where my fingers are and then I lose my place. Is there a trick to being able to jump around over the keys and not getting lost? Or is it just a lot of practice?
Am I too old to learn how to play drums?
I’m 18, Ive bin wanting to learn how to play an instrument ever since I was young but my parents never supported me plus we were very poor plus the area we lived in didn’t sponsor free instrument lessons. Now i have a fulltime job where I make a pretty good salary, so I just wanted to ask is it too late to learn drums because it is my favorite instrument, favorite part of any song and because I just love music overall and plan to enter the business.
